Unqualified at any Price

Priscilla Leal was re-elected this year, but it's hard to understand why she was re-elected when she had a group of intelligent and very well-informed opponents. Ms. Leal seems never to have read the agenda before council meetings and seems to be monumentally mis-informed on most of the issues.

But that doesn't stop her from pontificating on every vote that comes before the Council. She never misses a chance to speak if she can insert the words "the people" or "jobs." Unfortunately, she does little or nothing for "the people" or for job creation with her lack of understanding of the crucial issues before the Council. Her stated goals cannot possibly be attained with the level of incompetence she exhibits.
It's very difficult to imagine what the voters of District 3 were thinking when they voted for Mrs. Leal. Her incompetence is in sharp contrast to the preparation and knowledge of the other women on the Council - Chris Adler and Nelda Martinez.
